Cuerpos Artificiales
"Cuerpo Artificial" es un proyecto de video arte que explora la relación entre el cuerpo humano y la inteligencia artificial a través de una serie de videos basados en performances realizadas por el artista. El proyecto se desarrolla en torno a cinco temáticas que se relacionan con el cuerpo: "Riqueza de diamantes - Palmo de palma," "Aguas invisibles - Lupa amoral y digital," "La sombra no canta - Ductos universales," "Pesado es mi absurdo - Cemento y soles," y "Pesado es mi absurdo - Ducho de este mucho".
Para las primeras cuatro temáticas en cada video, el artista se graba a sí mismo, pero en lugar de mostrar directamente su cuerpo, se enfoca en el reflejo de su cuerpo en espejos y en la proyección de la sombra de su cuerpo. Esta elección visual busca enfatizar la idea de que su cuerpo existe de manera artificial en estos reflejos y sombras, creando una dualidad en la percepción de su identidad: es él mismo y al mismo tiempo no lo es.
La quinta temática busca el cuerpo sin el cuerpo. Lo artificial sin lo artificial.
La intervención de la inteligencia artificial añade otro nivel de complejidad a la obra. Cada video es guiado por un prompt generado a partir de un poema escrito en relación con la temática específica. La inteligencia artificial interpreta este prompt y manipula las imágenes, transformando aún más la representación del cuerpo del artista en un "artificio mayor."
El título del proyecto, "Cuerpo Artificial," refleja esta interacción entre lo humano y lo artificial. El cuerpo del artista se convierte en un lienzo en el que la inteligencia artificial redefine su propia existencia, al igual que el universo y los planetas son cuerpos artificiales en el cosmos. A través de esta obra, el artista explora la idea de que su cuerpo es un universo en sí mismo, habitado por un cosmos de cuerpos artificiales.
"Cuerpo Artificial" invita al espectador a reflexionar sobre la naturaleza de la identidad, la dualidad entre lo real y lo artificial, y la influencia de la tecnología en la percepción de nuestro propio ser. Cada video es una ventana a un mundo abstracto y en constante evolución, donde el cuerpo humano se convierte en un lienzo para la exploración artística y conceptual.
"Artificial Body" is a video art project that explores the relationship between the human body and artificial intelligence through a series of videos based on performances by the artist. For the first four themes, in each video, the artist records himself, but instead of directly showcasing his body, he focuses on the reflection of his body in mirrors and the projection of the shadow of his body. This visual choice emphasizes the idea that his body exists artificially in these reflections and shadows, creating a duality in the perception of his identity: it is himself and at the same time, it is not.
The fifth topic seeks the body without the body. The artificial without the artificial.
The intervention of artificial intelligence adds another level of complexity to the artwork. Each video is guided by a prompt generated from a poem written in relation to the specific theme. Artificial intelligence interprets this prompt and manipulates the images, further transforming the representation of the artist's body into a "greater artifice."
The title of the project, "Artificial Body," reflects this interaction between the human and the artificial. The artist's body becomes a canvas on which artificial intelligence redefines its own existence, just as the universe and planets are artificial bodies in the cosmos. Through this work, the artist explores the idea that his body is a universe in itself, inhabited by a cosmos of artificial bodies.
"Artificial Body" invites the viewer to reflect on the nature of identity, the duality between the real and the artificial, and the influence of technology on the perception of our own being.
