Covid-19: Confirmed cases and confirmed deaths vs Google Trends

This is getting more and more interesting. Look at this:

  1. Charts 1 and 2 of confirmed cases, then of confirmed deaths in logaritmic scale and for the whole world from Januarty 1st 2020.

  2. Chart 3 of Google Trends with the search term covid as a proxy for interest on covid-19. Other possibilities would be to check queries such as: coronavirus, covid-19, covid 19, and so on.

  3. Chart 4 relates all charts from 1 to 3. Here one can see how three peaks are easily identifiable and we can see that whenever there is an increase in confirmed cases and deaths, there is also an increase in Google queries. This pattern repeats three times for each peak.
